Protect Our Community from the Trump Administration.

As Trump threatens our public schools, works to take away our healthcare, targets law‑abiding immigrants, and demonizes the LGBTQ+ community, I will do everything in my power to protect our community. Under my watch, there will be no cooperation with these attacks on our freedoms, our values, and our way of life. Richmond will remain a welcoming and inclusive city.
Prioritize Strong Environmental Protections and Access to Green Spaces in Richmond.

As a leader of Gardens of Golden Gate Park, my job is protecting parks and ensuring that they are welcoming spaces for the public to enjoy. As Mayor, I will be a tireless advocate for strong environmental protections, policies that promote clean air, and strategies to make our existing parks cleaner and more vibrant while expanding access to parks in underserved areas of Richmond
Reinvest in and Reimagine Public Safety in Richmond.

Every Richmond resident deserves to feel safe in their community. As Mayor, I will ensure that we have sufficient police staffing and training to solve and prevent crime while holding our officers to the highest ethical standards. We also need to invest in more mental health services and outreach to transform lives for the better and enable law enforcement to focus on serious and violent crimes.
Ensure Robust Budget Oversight.

Our city is falling short of its fiduciary responsibilities and has been dragged into expensive lawsuits that hurt Richmond taxpayers. We need leaders who will ask the tough questions and demand reforms. If we don’t, our city will face sudden and dramatic budget shortfalls that will force drastic cuts to services, and that’s something none of us should want.
Make Richmond a More Affordable Place to Live.

We are not meeting our regional housing goals. This makes our city less affordable and jeopardizes our ability to chart our own destiny on where we want housing built. We need more homes now that are affordable for people of all income levels.
Develop and Carry Out a Comprehensive Economic and Workforce Development Action Plan.

Richmond is well-positioned to be a beacon for culture, commerce, and community. As Mayor, I will work to attract new businesses and revitalize our struggling business districts, creating new jobs, reducing blight, and bringing pride to our city.
Reduce Blight and Improve Streets.

We all deserve to live in clean and safe neighborhoods. As Mayor, I will get our city back to the basics: fix potholes, clean up graffiti, and crack down on illegal dumping. A welcoming and beautiful Richmond is ours if we demand it.
