A lifelong Richmond resident, Ahmad Anderson is the experienced candidate that will ensure every Richmond neighborhood feels heard, feels safe, and has opportunities to prosper.
As Richmond’s Mayor, Ahmad will:

• Regularly meet with community leaders in every Richmond neighborhood to ensure that our city is leaving no one behind;
• Oversee an accountable and responsible approach to city finances to ensure that services and improvements are delivered on time and on budget;
• Approach public safety in a comprehensive way that reduces crime, offers hope and opportunity to at risk youth, tackles our addiction crisis from every direction, and includes robust transparency at all agencies and departments;
• Work around the clock to attract quality jobs to Richmond and to support the small businesses that are the heart and soul of Richmond;
• Invest in homes affordable at all income levels while helping the unhoused transition into permanent housing;
• Make sure that Richmond is acting on its environmental justice commitments – clean air, clean streets, and access to safe and well maintained parks in every Richmond neighborhood; and
• Protect our city and our vulnerable neighbors from the attacks we know are coming from the Trump Administration.
